NAIS MacPortable -Forerunner Of Today's Laptop Computers, 1989
One day in 1989, the latest issue of Macworld magazine arrived at the NAIS office. On the front cover was a photo of a good looking girl setting on a float in a swimming pool working on the new MacPortable. It wasn 't long until Ralph Thomas managed to get a credit line increase on his actual Apple credit card and had one! This time is set him back another $6,500.00 but what the heck! He had a forerunner of today's notebook computers. Thomas ended up flat on his back from carrying the heaving thing around. Take a look at the specs to see what you could actually get for $6,500.00 on 1989.
