Equipment comes with a 90 day warranty. Some restrictions apply. Some products have additional manufactuer's warranty. Defective products will be replaced or repaired. Due to the nature of many products, on equipment and video sales, all sales are considered final and nonreturnable unless defective. All returns require prior authorization and an authorization number. Prices and availability subject to change without notice.
By purchasing, buyer represents that he/she holds seller harmless for any use and/or misuse. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ascertain and obey any and all applicable local, state and federal laws in regard to possession and/or use of any item found at this site. Laws vary from state to state. Purchaser agrees to consult with an attorney at law should any question of intended use arise.
RESTRICTIONS: Some items are restricted to certain specializations and functions and some require a license in some states. Some material and products are restricted and require letterhead authority to order and therefore can not be ordered online.
SHIPPING: All items shipped insured U.P.S. within the USA that comes from our office and your physical mailing address and telephone number is needed. Due to the nature of this product line, equipment and some books can not be shipped to a PO BOX.
TIME SERVICE: We stock an ample supply of products found at this site. The overwhelming majority of products (except custom badges) are shipped out within 48 hours of recieving the order during business days. Naturally, time service for orders on Saturday, Sunday and holidays would not start until the following business day. Thomas Investigative Publilcations, Inc. is generally known for quick order fillment.
ORDERS OUTSIDE THE USA: Many items are restricted to sales within the United States. Many products may require a license from the US Department Of Commerce or the US State Department. Thomas Investigative Pubications, Inc. does not ship any product requiring export licensing to any destinaton outside the USA.
CHECKS: Based on our internal security check, we reserve the right to hold an order by company or personal check a reasonable time pending check clearance.
CREDIT CARD ORDERS: For your protection and ours, credit card orders require a security check concerning the ownership and validty of the credit card above and beyond an authorization number. Orders for equipment must be shipped to the credit card billing address.
BACKORDERS: On occassion a book we do not publish will be placed on backorder pending restocking by the publisher. In such rare cases, you will be notified that the material is on backorder by mail. Although most backorders are filled quickly, some backorders may take anywhere from one to six weeks if the book in question has gone out of print and another printing is being done.
ORDERS OUTSIDE THE USA: Some orders outside the United States are restricted and/or prohibited. Customs forms state the exact contents of the products and the declared value is the selling price of the item, no exceptions. As stated, some products can not be shipped outside the USA. BADGE ORDERS: Orders for custom badges are restricted to those with the authority to legally carry them. Badges for law enforcement officers require letterhead authority by mail or by fax. Custom badges for private investigative and security firms also require letterhead authority from your firm and your state licensing authority needs to be consulted concerning the use of such items before ordering. The nature of custom badge manfacturer is unavoidably time consuming requiring several processes. Custom badge orders take anywhere from four to eight weeks.
